BESPOKEN by Dany

About

It started with a handful of wildflowers

I’m Daniela — Dany. I’m a floral artist and designer, originally from Colombia, now working out of a studio in Malmö. BESPOKEN is what happened when I stopped organising other people’s events and started making the thing at the centre of them.

From wildflowers to BESPOKEN

It was the summer of 2021. I had just finished leading a large regional online event — one of the biggest coordination projects of my career to that point. During the pandemic, custom gift boxes for employees had become enormously popular, and I had spent months managing the logistics and the product selection. I genuinely loved that part. But I was ready for something more creative, and closer to the life I actually wanted.

That holiday season, at my parents-in-law’s cottage near the Uruguay River, I found myself gathering wildflowers and long leaves. Like a child again — curious, completely absorbed. I started crafting adornments and placing them on our heads, laughing at the simple joy of it. That exact afternoon is where the brand came from: flowers, handmade adornments, curated gifts, and design that means something.

So BESPOKEN was born — boho-inspired flower adornments, artisan-crafted gifts, and a great many small details. Every piece carries a bohemian spirit rooted in quality, emotion and story. I wanted to walk alongside people through the moments that matter to them, and help them celebrate with a bit more intention.

The studio has since crossed an ocean. The seasons here in Sweden are entirely different, the flower calendar had to be relearned from scratch, and I have a whole new set of growers to thank. The way the work is made has not changed at all.

The road here

A short timeline

2021

A field of wildflowers

A summer afternoon at my parents-in-law’s cottage by the Uruguay River. I gathered wildflowers and long leaves, started composing crowns, and found the idea that became BESPOKEN.

2022

The first year

60+ sales and clients across Argentina, Colombia, Peru and the USA. Wedding bouquets, crowns and exclusive ear adornments. Local entrepreneur fairs and a two-week showroom.

2022

Our own handcrafted wedding

We planned and built our own wedding for 120 guests — venue, invitations, decor, my flower crown and the boutonnières. The best possible education in what a wedding day actually demands.

2023

Across the water

The studio moved to Sweden. New seasons, a completely different flower calendar, and a fresh set of growers to learn from.

Today

Malmö

Working across Skåne and Copenhagen on weddings, events and gifting — still cutting everything by hand, still working to the season.

What I hold to

The values underneath the work

These were written down in the first year of the business and they have not needed editing since.

01

Made by hand

Every crown, bouquet and box is composed by hand, one at a time. Nothing is assembled from a template.

02

Led by the season

I work with what is genuinely growing. It makes the work more honest, more local and far more beautiful.

03

Detail as care

The twine, the wax seal, the note. The details are where a gift stops being an object and becomes a gesture.

04

Better to give

A share of every year’s sales goes to people who need it. It has been part of the business since the first month.

A useful credential

We planned and built our own wedding

In March 2022 we married 120 guests into a historic venue outside Buenos Aires — a bohemian, country wedding that we planned ourselves, from the invitations to the seating chart to my own flower crown and the boutonnières.

The forecast turned on us and the whole ceremony moved indoors that morning. It was intense, more than fifteen friends and family ended up helping, and it was wonderful. It also taught me exactly which parts of a wedding day you must delegate, and how long every task really takes.

That is the experience I bring to your date — not a theory about how a wedding runs, but the memory of standing inside one with a pair of scissors.

I’d love to hear what you’re planning.
